Webinar: How EduFinance is Responding to School Closures

In a recent webinar with Opportunity supporters, Head of Opportunity EduFinance, Andrew McCusker, and Head Education Specialist for East Africa, Robinah Zawedde, shared an update on EduFinance's rapid response to support our school and financial partners during global lock-down measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Andrew gave an overview of his knowledge of the current situation facing schools and education lenders worldwide and how we are utilising our technical expertise and experience to offer guidance and practical support to financial institutions. An example of the resources from the Toolkit our Technical Assistance team (ETAF) is providing can be viewed here.

Robinah shed light on the situation in Uganda and how the Education Specialist team is leveraging multiple communication channels for the widest possible outreach to provide guidance to school leaders and help them maintain engagement with teachers, parents, and students.
