2024 Global Youth Economic Opportunities Summit (GYEO) - ‘Unlocking Opportunity: Empowering Indian Youth through TVET Fee Financing.’

Opportunity EduFinance hosted a breakout session at the 2024 Global Youth Economic Opportunities Summit (GYEO), organized by Making Cents International.

The summit took place in Washington D.C. from September 9-12, 2024, bringing together leaders and innovators focused on expanding economic opportunities for young people worldwide.

Sakshi Sodhi, Senior Technical Assistance Advisor, led a discussion entitled: ‘Unlocking Opportunity: Empowering Indian Youth through TVET Fee Financing.’ 

Our session focused on the transformative potential of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) fee financing initiatives in India. We explored how these initiatives—developed through the partnership between the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Opportunity EduFinance—had increased access to affordable skilling courses for low-income and marginalized youth. The session also covered how partnerships between financial institutions and training providers were improving post-course employment opportunities.
