Syed Shahab AhmadEducation Specialist (Pakistan)
Shahab Syed is an Education Specialist with the EduQuality program in Pakistan.
Shahab has over 12 years of experience working in the humanitarian sector. Prior to joining the Education Finance team, Shahab was a Project Manager for the Girl’s Education Challenges Transition program at BRAC in Afghanistan. He has also worked as a Program Manager for Pakistan Reading Project at IRC and as an Education Sector Lead at the Norwegian Refugee Council in Pakistan. Shahab was also an Education Coordinator in Save the Children’s ‘Welcome Back to School Initiative’ program in Pakistan, where he was part of the team responsible for developing a single national curriculum for primary-and-middle schools in Pakistan. Shahab has worked with various global donors like USAID, PRM, FCDO/DFID, World Bank, NMFA, and UN agencies.
Shahab Syed received his Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Malakand (Chakdara), and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) from the Allama Iqbal Open University. He also has a BSc in Double Math and Physics.
