Solomon SilasEducation Specialist (Tanzania)
Solomon Silas is an Education Specialist for the EduQuality program in Tanzania. He handles Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) for Opportunity International’s EduFinance program. He supports affordable private schools in improving the quality of early learning by strengthening school leadership, building teachers’ and caregivers’ professional skills, and supporting holistic, inclusive, and well-managed learning environments that help young children thrive.
Prior to joining the Education Finance team, Solomon worked in the private sector as a teacher and as a school principal. He also worked as the Senior Literacy Facilitator, Room to Read organization for more than 6 years.
Solomon holds a Bachelor of Arts with Education from the University of Dar es Salaam (MUCE). Currently, he pursues a Master of Humanitarian Action, Cooperation and Development from the Open University of Tanzania.
