Roland MuchangaSenior Education Specialist (Zambia)

Roland Nawa Muchanga is a Senior Education Specialist with the EduQuality program in Zambia.

Prior to joining Opportunity International, Roland was an Education Manager for Save the Children International (SCI). He provided leadership and strategic direction to the team in line with SCI Child Rights Programming and national policy frameworks. In 2019, on behalf of International Consulting Management (INCOM), Roland served as Education Key Expert. Roland has also worked as a UNICEF Technical Advisor (Early Childhood Education), under the Ministry of Education. He helped with planning, developing, managing the implementation, and evaluation of the Early Childhood Development, Care and Education (ECCDE) activities at national, provincial, district, zonal, and community levels.

Roland holds a Joint International Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (MSc ECEC) obtainedfrom the University of Malta (UoM), Malta; Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Ireland; and Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences (OAUCAS), Norway. He also has a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Copperbelt University (Zambia), and a Bachelor of Arts with Education Degree (B.A.Ed.) from Zambia.
