Rabeccah SongoiTechnical Assistance Advisor (Kenya)

Rabeccah Songoi is a Technical Assistance Advisor at Opportunity International EduFinance, where she leads the development and delivery of Educational Financial Products tailored to financial institutions and education providers across Kenya.

Her work focuses on strengthening institutional capacity, embedding inclusive financing models, and scaling sustainable education solutions that expand access to affordable, quality education for low-income communities. 

With over a decade of experience across Eastern and Southern Africa including Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique — Rabeccah has designed and implemented technical assistance programs that integrate financial policy, institutional diagnostics, performance evaluation, and adaptive stakeholder engagement, with emphasizes on locally responsive solutions that align with national education priorities and global development frameworks. 

She previously served as Regional Coordinator at Akeso Associates, where she led multi-country initiatives to strengthen health and development systems through targeted training, strategic management support, and cross-sector collaboration. Her advisory roles with Kenya’s National AIDS and STI Control Programme (NASCOP) and Partners for Health and Development in Africa (PHDA) focused on institutional strengthening, knowledge management, and policy integration. 

At IntraHealth International, Rabeccah supported the rollout of USAID-aligned financial systems and scholarship and loan programs across Kenya’s coastal counties, working with donors including the Gates Foundation to enhance access to education and health services through sustainable financing mechanisms. 

Rabeccah holds a Bachelor's Degree in Development studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from DALC Association of Leaders at Cambridge University, and is currently completing an MSc in Innovation, Leadership and Management at the University of York.
