Philip OmanyoEducation Specialist (Western Kenya)

Philp Omanyo is an Education Specialist with EduQuality program in Kenya, Western Kenya.

Philip has over 9 years of experience working in the education sector in Kenya. Prior to joining Opportunity EduFinance, he was a training officer with EIDU and has worked as an education officer in the same institution. He worked with a county government official in the education department to deliver digital inclusion for all children in the coastal region. He has also worked in the INGO sector with the Education Development Trust (EDT) under the Wasichana Wetu Wafaulu program (WWW) to improve the education transition of girls to alternative pathways of education. This involved intervention in numeracy and literacy improvement through classroom pedagogy. He also implemented the Tayari ECD project in Kenya working with RTI International, delivering coaching and mentorship. After completing his university education, he delivered classroom instruction for 3 years.

Philip holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Nairobi and a certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation.
