Maria ChuriEducation Specialist, ECCE (Tanzania)

Maria is an Education Specialist, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Before joining Opportunity International EduFinance, Maria was a Literacy Program Facilitator at Room to Read Tanzania. Maria also worked as an Education Officer for over two years, supporting the humanitarian population (Burundian and Congolese) in accessing their right to education.

With World Vision Tanzania, Maria served as an Education Program Facilitator, coaching and supporting teachers in literacy skills and methodologies to improve literacy among young learners. She also served as a children's teacher in pre and primary schools.

Maria Churi has a BED in Early Childhood Education from the University of Dar es Salaam.
