Julius Emmanuel OmodingSenior Technical Assistance Advisor & Regional Director for Africa (Uganda)

Julius Emmanuel Omoding is a Senior Advisor & Regional Director for the Opportunity International EduFinance Technical Assistance team, working with our financial parters across Africa. 

Julius is a Finance and Banking professional with more than 15 years of experience in the Ugandan Banking sector. He served as Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of FINCA Uganda.

Prior to this, Julius served as the Executive Director and Head of Business Banking at FINA Bank Uganda (now Guarantee Trust Bank Limited, Uganda).

Julius worked with Barclays Bank Uganda where he served in various capacities including Head of Sales, Head of SME lending, and Head of Electronic Banking and Cards. He started his career as a news reporter and anchor with Media Plus Limited.

Julius earned his BA from Makerere University and has attended leadership courses at Harvard Business School and Strathmore Business School.
