Jean Marc KamugishaEducation Specialist (Rwanda)

Jean Marc Kamugisha is an Education Specialist with the EduQuality program at Opportunity International EduFinance, based in Rwanda.

Prior to joining Opportunity International, Jean Marc worked for RwandaEQUIP (Rwanda Education Quality Improvement Program) as a Regional Manager, supporting school supervisors by equipping them with knowledge and skills to mentor and coach teachers to improve pupils’ learning outcomes. He also worked as an Early Grade Literacy Advisor for Chemonics International, implementing a USAID Early Grade reading project in Rwanda. Jean Marc also has experience in working with school leaders, teachers, and district and sector education officials. He facilitated various teachers’ and school leaders’ trainings and conducted various monitoring and evaluation assignments to ensure the quality implementation of education programs.

Jean Marc holds a Master’s degree in Education Management and Administration from University of Kigali, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the National University of Rwanda.
