Jason AmooCommunications Manager (Ghana)

Jason Amoo is a Communications Manager at Opportunity International EduFinance, based in Ghana. Jason is responsible for developing and executing a communications strategy to influence and inform all stages of program development, design, piloting, growth, and expansion.

Prior to joining the Education Finance team, Jason held and led various communication roles with Abt Associates, Partners in Health Liberia, ACDI VOCA, and World Vision. He has experience working with key donors including USAID, European Union, GIZ, PEPFA, and UN agencies. Jason is also a Development Communication Specialist with over a decade of experience in advocacy, public relations, strategic communication, journalism, and documentary filmmaking. He has national and international experience in the humanitarian sector with international non-governmental organizations in education, health, food security, child protection, and WASH.

Jason holds a Master of Arts degree in Conflict, Peace & Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Centre in Accra, Ghana, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies (Development Communication) from the University of Ghana. Jason is also an alumnus of the U.S. government’s Young African Leaders Initiative and the African Civic Engagement Academy at the University of Georgia, USA.
