Idamerly Sahony-AdamesSenior Education Specialist (Dominican Republic)

Idamerly Adames is a Senior Education Specialist with the EduQuality program, based in the Dominican Republic. She delivers professional development courses to school leaders and teacher mentors. 

Prior to joining the EduQuality team, Idamerly was a primary teacher in a bilingual school, where she was responsible for the educational, social and emotional development of students. Idamerly has worked with the Ministry of Education in the Dominican Republic as an encoder in the reading, comprehension and creative competencies for the International Standardized test PISA.

Idamerly received her bachelor’s degree in Education with a major in English from UNICDA (Dominico Americano’s University) in the Dominican Republic. She is currently completing her Masters degree in Applied Linguistics to the English Language and Teaching English as a Foreign language.
