Georgine MukarugiraEducation Specialist (Rwanda)

Georgine has worked in Rwanda's education sector for 15 years. Prior to joining the EduQuality team, Georgine worked with Education Development Trust as a Leadership for Learning Adviser where she supported school leaders in Professional Learning Communities, School Improvement Planning, and Continuous Professional Development for school leaders and teachers. She facilitated different trainings on Strengthening the Capacity of School General Assembly Executive Committee, use of essential classroom materials, and use of data while School Self Review for learning improvement.

Georgine worked with district and sector education officers, school leaders, teachers, and parents to develop and implement school improvement. She has contributed to Building Learning Foundations digest by collecting and sharing different success stories on learning improvement, parental engagement, dropout reduction, inclusive education, and teacher development. She has also worked as a teacher, headteacher, and National Leader for Learning under the Building Learning foundations program.

Georgine holds a post-graduate diploma in Effective School Leadership and a Bachelor of Science with Education from the University of Rwanda, College of Education, and Kigali Institute of Education.
