Faridah NanyonjoEducation Specialist (Uganda)

Faridah Nanyonjo is an Education Specialist with the EduQuality program in Uganda. She enhances the quality of education in affordable private schools by providing support to school leaders and teacher mentors on best practices within defined domains of education quality.

Before joining Opportunity International, Faridah held positions as a teacher educator with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) Uganda and a teaching advisor with VSO Rwanda. In these roles, she collaborated with teachers, schools, and education officials to enhance learning outcomes in numeracy and literacy through the Building Learning Foundations (BLF) project in Rwanda and the ACTIVE project in Uganda. Additionally, Faridah served as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in Cambodia, working with Australian Centres for Development in Battambang, Cambodia.

Faridah has a bachelor’s degree in Education from Makerere University and a certificate in TEFL(Teaching of English as a Foreign Language)
