Damasus YaghrSchool Finance Access Coordinator (Ghana)

Damasus Yaghr is a School Finance Access Coordinator at Opportunity International Edufinance, based in Ghana. He coordinates School Leadership Academies that strengthen the capacity of low-fee-paying private schools in school and financial management, and connects schools to partner Financial Institutions for school Improvement loans.

With more than 7 years of practice in the Community Development arena, Damasus' experience spans child labor remediation, skills training, financial inclusion, and capacity-strengthening training for District-Level project stakeholders. He also worked as a Consulting Assistant at Diligence Consult, a private audit firm, where he supported external annual audits, engaged with banks on accountancy jobs, and wrote proposals to bid for them. Starting his career as a teacher, Damasus has 5years of teaching experience with the Ghana Education Service.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Energy and Resource Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Education certificate from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. Damasus also attained part 2 of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ghana professional examination.
