Anthony Anafo is a Grants Accountant at Opportunity International EduFinance based in Accra, Ghana. He handles expense tracking, grant reporting, budget development, and financial compliance for education finance programs.
Prior to joining the Education Finance team, Anthony served as Grants Manager at Family Health International (FHI 360), where he oversaw the grants portfolio for the USAID Accelerating Social Behaviour Change (ASBC) Project. He ensured sub-grantees complied with donor rules, regulations, and reporting standards. He also worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Plan International (Global Affairs Canada WISE Project), upholding high-quality standards and compliance across projects and program activities. He identified risks, developed mitigation strategies, and ensured sound financial management. Additionally, as Regional Grants Compliance Officer with University Research Co. (URC) on the USAID Systems for Health Project, Anthony built the capacity of Ghana Health Service offices, including Regional and District health Directorates, to manage donor funding effectively.
Anthony Anafo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Cape Coast and a BSc in Business Administration (Accounting) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
