Kofi BoakyeHead Education Specialist, Ghana

Kofi was promoted to Head Education Specialist in January 2018 with the responsibility of supervising the Education Quality team and their activities in Ghana. 

 Kofi joined the EduFinance team in March 2017 with responsibility for working with partner schools in the Kumasi Metropolis, Ghana. As career educator, KB has experience in teaching in schools offering the Cambridge International Examinations’ (CIE) programmes from the Cambridge Primary level all through to AS/A-Level with expertise in the subject areas of Mathematics and Information and Communications Technology (ICT). As a CIE certified course work moderator in Mathematics, he possesses seven years working experience in classroom practice as a teacher and an additional six years as a school administrator. His strengths are in the areas of teacher monitoring and supervision, facilitating professional development training/in-set sessions, and conducing teacher performance evaluation. Notable amongst the institutions where he has worked prior to his appointment with Education Finance are International Community School (ICS-K), ENAS Hybrid School, Vilac International School, and AngloGold Ashanti School. In the last three institutions, he served in the capacity as the Head of Academics/School Principal.

Kofi Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and is currently pursuing an MPhil degree in Educational Innovations and Leadership Science from the same institution.
