This website is owned and operated by Opportunity International. We recognise that visitors to our site may be concerned about the information they provide to us, and how we treat that information.

At Opportunity International, we value your support and we are committed to protecting your privacy. The purpose of this statement is to share with you our policy concerning your privacy.

Opportunity International uses its best efforts to respect the privacy of its online visitors. At our site, we do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly.

Does Opportunity automatically collect my information via this website? Opportunity International UK’s website does not automatically capture or store personal information.

What does Opportunity do with my information when I volunteer it? You will be asked for personal information if you want to take advantage of specific services we offer such as subscription to our newsletter. If you indicate that you are interested in receiving regular information about Opportunity’s work, we will send you communications regarding our work and activities, either electronically or otherwise. In addition, we may send you direct mail that we feel may be of interest to you.

When you are on this website and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with Opportunity International UK alone unless stated otherwise. For example, when you are using our secure online donation pages you are going through to the CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) site and this is made clear on the donation page.

WITH WHOM DOES OPPORTUNITY INTERNATIONAL UK SHARE MY INFORMATION?

As a general rule, Opportunity will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information, except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it. When you are using our secure online donation pages you are going through to a partner company and the information you give such as your credit card number and contact information is provided so that the transaction can take place.

Opportunity does not sell or rent user information to anyone. From time to time, we agree with other likeminded organisations to write to some of each other’s supporters, for the mutual benefit of both. Our supporters are given the opportunity to opt in to this arrangement.

HOW DO I OPT OUT OF FURTHER CORRESPONDENCE?

If you do not wish to receive any further information on Opportunity or to be contacted about our work, please contact us directly to cancel any further communications.

HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT INFORMATION YOU HOLD ON ME?

It is our policy to give access to our supporters to the information we hold on them. You may access your information at any time. If you would like to know what information we are in possession of please contact: impact@opportunity.org.uk

If you discover your information is incorrect, incomplete or out of date please notify us and we will try to correct or add the information as soon as possible.

COMPLAINT AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEDURES

If you believe we have breached your privacy rights in any way, or you would like to discuss any issues about our privacy policy please contact us.

We will try to satisfy any questions that you have and correct any errors on our part. If we do not answer your concerns to your satisfaction you have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner.

Like most standard website servers, we use log files. We do not share individual information gathered though log files with third parties.
