Jane AikSenior Technical Assistance Advisor for Africa (Uganda)

Jane Aik is a Senior Technical Assistance Advisor for the Opportunity International EduFinance Technical Assistance team, working with our partners across Africa. 

Jane is a Finance and Banking professional with more than 20 years of experience in designing and delivery of Banking and Finance Training in East Africa. She has facilitated a range of programs, including but not limited to areas of; credit, accounting, finance and general bank operations.

Jane has been in the area of Training, initially as an Associate Trainer since 2001, and later as Head of Training at The Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services for 6 years, where she also held the portfolio of Executive Director.

At the time she worked at Allied Bank International Uganda Limited (now Bank of Africa), Jane served in various capacities and gained an 8 year experience in both back and front office branch operations and in credit analysis and corporate relations. She also gained a wealth of experience in financial management as Head of Finance and Administration of a Fast Moving Consumer Goods company, Equata.

Jane earned her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration at Makerere University, Kampala – Uganda. She also holds Professional qualifications in Banking (Associateship Diploma in Banking – also known as the Certified Professional Banker), ACCA and CPA Uganda.
