Naboth AsiimweEducation Specialist, Uganda
Naboth joins the Uganda EduFinance team as an Education Specialist, bringing with him over 25 years’ experience in education in a diverse range of roles. As a teacher he worked in Uganda, Somalia and Rwanda and over time progressed to Deputy Head then to Head Teacher. In 2009 Naboth worked in Rwanda for 4 years first as an English Language Teacher Trainer facilitating the transition from Francophone to Anglophone; and secondly as a Mentor training teachers on learner centred methodology and building their capacity and confidence of teaching in English medium. Back in Uganda in 2014 Naboth worked for VSO conducting and facilitating teacher seminars and workshops building capacity in Learner Centred Pedagogy; and in 2016 he worked for USAID on a project supporting Early Grade numeracy and literacy.
Naboth holds a Master of Arts in Education from Walsh University, Ohio, USA; a Bachelor of Education from Makerere University, Kampala; and a Diploma of Education from the Institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo, Kampala.
