John PulidoHead Education Specialist, LAC (Colombia)

John Pulido is responsible for managing and developing the Education Specialist team across Latin America and the Caribbean region (LAC), contributing to EduQuality’s mission and vision.

John brings with him over 20 years of experience in education. He started as a foreign language teacher in private schools and universities in Colombia. He also has vast experience in teacher mentoring and coaching, curriculum, material design, and EdTech consultancy.

Prior to joining Opportunity International, John worked as Chief Learning and Academic Services at Santillana-Compartir Colombia, leading cross-functional teams of more than 40 Education Specialists to help 600+ institutions and 15,000+ teachers implement programs and innovation projects, impacting 200,000+ students' academic performance, cognitive and socio-emotional skills.

John received his MA in Applied Linguistics to TEFL from Distrital University of Bogota, a BA in Modern Languages from the same university, and recently a specialization certification in Project Management and Leadership Skills from Universidad de La Sabana.
